Public Profile

I AM A GRAPHIC DESIGNER: I’m a professional graphic designer/graphic artist with loads of experience as I worked for three daily newspapers and many local non-profits. I’ve predominantly used the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) to design posters, banners, logos, fliers, postcards, booklets, advertisements, programs…you name it, I can design it. I AM A WEB/MULTIMEDIA DESIGNER: For the past three years, I have been actively learning web design using WordPress or just writing from scratch using HTML/CSS. I’ve also branched out into video making using Adobe Premiere and After Effects and sound editing using GarageBand and Audacity. I AM A TRAINED JOURNALIST: My bachelor’s degree in news-editorial trained me to write, shoot photos and even do copy-editing. Working for more than 14 years at daily newspapers just honed those skills, even as I transitioned from an interest in graphics reporting to page designer. I LOVE DEADLINES: I work quickly, produce with quality and am a team player as that is the only way to survive at a daily newspaper.
