- Software Engineer at GE Healthcare/API Healthcare
- Computer Science Tutor at University of Redlands
University of Redlands, Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science
Responsibilities included developing and updating new and existing software, while also working closely with UX, quality engineers, and other developers. Write, and test code for applications that deliver according to desired functionality and quality standards.
I tutored Computer Science and helped students learn Java, complete projects and homework assignments, and develop coding skills while explaining syntax and underlying thought processes.
Global Supply Chain: Created programs and tools using Java to find and isolate differences between data in Agile and SAP. Programmed tools to extract thousands of individual data records from a manufacturing plant. Trended and analyzed that information to help make key operations decisions. Manufacturing Operations: Created an Access database to organize master data from manufacturing process worksheets into a consolidated format to use with the implementation of an MES system. Software Quality Assurance: Ran regression tests using MySQL to find potential bugs in the product software.
Programmed using Java and MySQL, specifically back end user interface functionality such as, allowing a user to login and log out of the application, creating a new user, modify user profile information, delete their profile completely, and modify and create contacts with other app users. I helped maintain and debug parts of the applications core code, and I ran client and server end processes using JSON and Java to test and compile programs.
During the summers of 2015 and 2016, I helped teach children and adults how to swim or improve their technique while educating them about pool safety.
Managed facilities around the pool deck, helped any customers, and managed the office during the summer.
During the summers between 2013 and 2016 I worked as part of a lifeguard team to manage the pool and ensure the safety of the club members around the pool deck.
