  • Security Analysis of Finance and Healthcare Android Applications

2nd Annual ACSC (Advanced Cyber Security Center) Conference, Student Poster Session

    November 2012

We propose a security analysis model that takes account of a wide range of vulnerability metrics to provide a unified and quantifiable method to evaluate the security risk level of Android applications, particularly in finance and healthcare sectors. An analysis tool is built to automatically extract related characteristics, measure security metrics and evaluate the vulnerability level. Furthermore, a large number of financial and healthcare applications from the markets are studied using our proposed tool to provide an overview of the market security as well as identify potential patterns and anomalies.
