    I worked on a graphing experiment game library written in Java for the graduate students at UCSD’s Computer Science department under Professor Paturi, Daniel Moeller, and Lorenzo Coviello: – Maintained the working functionality of the library – Added new functionality to support an additional mode of game-play within a networked version of the graphing game – Assisted Daniel Moeller in running experiments with the system – Refactored the older game logic to remove dependencies and improve ease-of-understanding while fixing an issue with UI responsiveness in the process

    I worked under Tim Marconi, Bryan Kehr, and Justin Heinrichs in Geisel Library’s Desktop Services, expanding a previously IT-only role to include some software engineering: – Developed and documented a large C# Windows Forms application that has many capabilities; users install PowerShell/VB scripts on each machine that allow usage data to be sent server-side; users can then view the network of machines visually and generate a heat-map for the usage data within the application; worked with other teams to see this project through to completion – Wrote PowerShell and Python scripts to perform administrative tasks on Windows XP/7 – Created a Javaapplication using Eclipse to data mine a network of PC systems – Researched and documented technical issues; debugged and fixed desktop hardware

This allows customers to have more fine-tuned troubleshooting pages for their errors experienced within TurboTax – Implemented the back-end logic for a new screen in the Turbo Tax Installer – Set up an automated build system for code coverage using NCover and Cruise Control.Net. This saves our engineers time in manually checking code coverage and makes the results of their testing efforts easy to present to managers/other teams

    HectiKinetic is a fast-paced, competitive, multiplayer, co-op, physics puzzler, shooter, role-based, capture-the-flag strategy game that we developed as a team over the course of a single quarter as our CSE 125 project. Per the course requirements, it has 3D graphics, is networked, and is played in real time. I wrote the graphics rendering engine, the skeletal structure for our physics engine, the special effects, some game logic, and helped others with most aspects of the game.
