    Digital Democracy

Over the past year and a half, I was able to work with several students and professors on a website called Digital Democracy. This constantly upgraded website is aimed at making legislation more transparent for citizens to track the issues their representatives are proposing and implementing. I’ve had the experience of working with four others to improve the functionality of the site and add features that make data we’ve collected more readily available for the viewer. We use Github for our version control. Each of us create our own branch to work and test on before merging it with the master branch. I’ve worked on both the front end aspect of the website using languages like Javascript, PHP, HTML, and CSS as well as back end aspects of the website using Java or Python to add information to our database. The home page for our website can be found at: http://digitaldemocracy.org/
