Background

Summary

I am an experienced iOS and tvOS Software Engineer with a broad range of experience that goes beyond technical engineering development. My passion is developing apps with a tight-knit team that can make our lives simpler and better. Having successfully led a team through multiple app releases, developed various automation tools, and made two personal apps, a website, and server, I am a quick learner that enjoys stepping out of the comfort zone. I am a team player, always welcoming alternate opinions, and discussing with colleagues different approaches that lead to new solutions. In combination, these diverse activities and experiences provide me the skills to lead projects from inception to commercialization.

Projects

  • Smack Dat Ass

    April 2015

**Note** The game is a pun on the word “ass”. My first iOS app released on the market. It was a fun project I made in my free time while also working full time. All the code was done in swift and objective-C by myself while I worked with a friend who did the graphics.

  • Ocean Temperature iOS App

    June 2017

My client wanted to port his existing Andriod app to the iOS. I was responsible for developing the entire front end using Swift. For this app, I made network requests to display data in real time. In addition, I utilized Core Data, Map Kit, and Geolocation to make a lightweight yet sophisticated app for the client. In addition to coding, I proposed and added new features to further improve the app from the original version.

  • Full Stack Swift Project

My own personal Full Stack Project deployed on AWS. There is a website component that list out more info about me and projects and hikes I have done. There is also a RESTful API for modifying data that is stored in MongoDB. The iOS application allows me to login using admin credentials and modify the data. Both the iOS and backend was developed in Swift. The actual domain is https://kevcodex.com.
