The LEAGUE of Amazing Programmers
January 2012 – Present(7 years 9 months)Education
Every year, the League of Amazing Programmers holds an International Autonomous Robot Competition (iARoC). The League of Amazing Programmers is a Wintriss Technical Schools campus, based in San Diego California. The primary objective of their iARoC is to motivate the next generation of technical leaders through fun and exciting activities and provide them with mentoring from real life software professionals. As a professional software developer I have taken on the role of mentor/teacher for the past several years, helping the students who compete to learn and grow. I now also help with photographing and judging the exciting competition and I look forward every year to aiding this successful program and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as they show off all they have learned. The students learn a range of skills in hardware and software while preparing for the competition and compete to win cash and other prizes. To learn more about the iARoC or register your kids for the 2015 event visit http://iaroc.org/.
