    Worked at San Diego Office: In this position, I was tasked daily with implementing new features to the company’s existing flagship application both front and backend. In addition, I fully designed and developed an advanced secure payment processing web application to enable users to pay their medical insurance bills. • Built from scratch a high-quality, innovative, fully performing health insurance payment portal implemented in Spring, Hibernate, Angular 6, Bootstrap all in compliance with coding standards, security best practices, and technical designs. The application was built with OAuth2 token management for external and internal authentication. • Responsible for the complete SDLC of new and pre-existing software products, from research and design to implementation, training, and support. • Refactored old scheduler code to use Java 8 streams, built new innovative survey modules for legacy systems and helped host Apache Tomcat servers with Java and MariaDB (MySQL) backend to serve a front end that utilizes HTML, CSS, jQuery/Javascript and AJAX in a custom framework. • Worked effectively with senior engineers, product and system architects, product managers, and technical support teams to prioritize work on all areas of the application including maintenance, feature development, QA, documentation, and infrastructure/performance. • Helped migrate all management to the Atlassian Tool Suite which includes Jira, Confluence, Aha, and SourceTree in order to improve agile methodology implementation.

Implemented multi-threaded Java applications tying the back-end server components to the mobile devices on Linux, Windows, and Mac. Helped manage a multi-person scrum team with code reviews and build automation tools. • Our product was running over 150,000 phones a month, 20-40 phones an hour per machine, providing deep savings for re-manufacturing insurance companies and the mobile customer base alike. • The mobile application we designed was used to diagnose the full functionality of Android, IOS, BBOS, and Windows devices. • I am credited with re-writing initial product from Auto-it to Java. • My team and I were responsible for developing and maintaining the core desktop components written in Java and Python.     Every year, the League of Amazing Programmers holds an International Autonomous Robot Competition (iARoC). The League of Amazing Programmers is a Wintriss Technical Schools campus, based in San Diego California. The primary objective of their iARoC is to motivate the next generation of technical leaders through fun and exciting activities and provide them with mentoring from real life software professionals. As a professional software developer I have taken on the role of mentor/teacher for the past several years, helping the students who compete to learn and grow. I now also help with photographing and judging the exciting competition and I look forward every year to aiding this successful program and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as they show off all they have learned. The students learn a range of skills in hardware and software while preparing for the competition and compete to win cash and other prizes.
