  • Timey Quest: The Productivity RPG (Android App)

    April 2016

-An app that uses gamification elements to turn productivity into a rewarding and fun experience. It acts as a timer that keeps track of work and break intervals and rewards the user for staying on schedule. -Received UCSD App Summit 2016’s “Most Innovative Award”. -My role within the team of 4 is front-end developer. Created the shop and equipment modules, implemented functions such as purchasing, equipping/unequipping weapons and gears.

  • Elevent (Android App)

-An event app allowing users to create and publish local events in order to promote them; -Users from the same geographic location could view and up-vote the events; -My responsibilities within a team of 5 are: icon design, UI/UX design, implementing list-views, up-vote functionality and event objects.

  • Predator & Prey World Simulator

-A graphic application simulating a world with predator, prey and other types of creatures with pre-programmed behaviors. Inheritance hierarchy were used in the creature objects; -The program allows the placement and graphical display of objects that will exhibit the pre-programmed behavior attached to each of them. -User could input various parameters to control the evolution statistics.

  • Huffman Compressor

An application utilizing Huffman Coding Algorithm to maximize the efficiency of lossless data compression on various types of files.

    Team Members (1):

  • Data Structure Projects

-Performed a case study analysis of approaches to Object-Oriented Design in C, C++, and Java to solve programming problems. -The nine projects implemented a stack-based calculator that evolved to utilize binary trees, circular linked lists, and hash tables. -The efficiency of each data structure was analyzed after each project iteration.
